Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee



Buenos Aires. Thomas Bach's International Olympic Committee (IOC), on Tuesday finally completed the dream of becoming president. Germany's 59-year-bak was elected president of the world's top sports body. Bach first president who won the Olympic gold medal as a player. The IOC voted in the second round he beat five other candidates who had opted to take the place of Jacques Roge. Roge after the end of the 12-year term had resigned from his post. Bach 49 votes in the second round and he won by majority
